Sweet Heart Bacon
One of the great joys of food is that you can use it to show someone you care about them, mostly figuratively, but sometimes also literally. Here, I shaped thick-cut bacon into cute little hearts and sprinkled them with sweet brown sugar for a fun addition to today’s Valentine’s Day breakfast. Hope you had a great day, honey!

Preheat oven to 425F. Spray a baking pan with nonstick cooking spray.
Cut each slice of bacon in half crosswise. Form each short piece of bacon into halves of a heart shape and press together, using a toothpick to hold together if necessary. Sprinkle each heart evenly with the brown sugar. Bake for 15 – 18 minutes, depending on the thickness of the bacon and on your crispiness preference. (We did 17 minutes.)
